So this past week was hardcore finding. We walked and biked a bunch and lets just say, my legs are pretty tired. But the Lord blessed us a lot this past week. We have two new investigators! Plus we also had a lesson with our other investigator! So overall lots of finding but it has been paying off. Plus I got to hold a hedgehog this past week, so, count it as a win! Elder Gailey and I have a lot of fun while we are out doing the work so it's been super great. Overall, I'm very grateful to see the Lord's hand in my life. I testify that the time that are the hardest are the times for growth. So when it isn't as hard, enjoy it. It is a blessing from God.
Personal studies have been AWESOME this past week and I have a lot of scriptures again. Sorry if I'm overloading everyone!
•2 Nephi 33:6
•2 Corinthians 12:10
I know, it's a lot. My spiritual thought this week is on progression. Each of us in on a path that we try to have lead us to living with our Heavenly Father again. Sometimes we may feel we aren't moving anywhere or that we maybe are even moving backwards. I hope that you all remember that "As we contemplate the decisions we make in our lives each day - whether to make this choice or that - if we choose Christ, we will have made the correct choice." I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Well this past week has been great. Elder Gailey and I get along really well and we are doing some hard core work. Plus we've been telling lots of stories, so it's been pretty fun. If you have any stories to remind me of, email them to me! I would love to share them...no matter how much they may make me look awkward. Some other great things that happened is we have the most fun district that I've been in in a long time. Elder Gigena was transferred into Vantaa and so we are in the same district now! That's been pretty great and just overall, this next transfer looks like it will go great. So a few short stories for the week:
- We had a guy pray for us, with us, and he prayed to know that "Adam Smith" was the chosen prophet...he was odd but very friendly at least!
- An old man told us to get out of his apartment building...it was then that we realized that we had accidentally been tracting an old folks home! There's a lot of old people in Hyvinkää, hah.
- Finland lost the World Hockey Championship and as such, that night there was NO ONE to contact. Finn's sure do love their hockey.
- A BIRD POOPED ON MY SHOE.
So overall, it's been great. Personal studies have been way good over the past couple of days. I have a lot of scriptures this week #sorrynotsorry :
- D&C 123:17
- 2 Nephi 28:21
- 2 Nephi 28:30
- 2 Nephi 31:20
- 2 Nephi 31:7
- 2 Nephi 31:3
- 1 John 4:19
- Alma 37:44-46
- Romans 8:31(31-39)
One scripture, 2 Nephi 31:3, talks about the Lord speaking to each man according to his own tongue. The Lord knows our spiritual language perfectly and therefore He can help us know what to do perfectly. We need only ask and we will know the pathway He would have us take. I love you all; have a great week!

So this past week was pretty full. We had Zone Conference this past week which was really good. We also had the Helsinki Stake Conference which was great as well. We got to hear from a Seventy, Elder Moreira, which was super fun and he was a great speaker. It was like General Conference, only there weren't any Apostles there and we only had one Seventy speaker...so basically the same. It is also transfers week! I'm staying in my area, Elder Baker as you all know is leaving home for Idaho on Thursday and my new companions name is Elder Gailey. He's from Washington and from what everyone has told me, he's really nice so that will be great.
Elder Moreira talked a lot about our relationship with our Heavenly Father and how we need to always keep the eternal focus in mind as we go throughout our day to day lives. When we realize our relationship with a Father in Heaven, it helps us realize that all experiences, be they good or bad, are ultimately to help us grow and become more like Him. They all try to help us grow in Heavenly Father's attributes. It reminded me of something a speaker said while I was in the MTC. He said, "If you want to be with God, you have to be like God." Always strive to make these experiences you have in your life work for your growth, whatever those trials and challenges may be.
I have a thought on one of the scriptures this week. It is Mark 4:36-40. The sea is going crazy and Jesus's disciples are worried that they may die and one goes to wake Jesus and asks in a very sincere way, I would presume, "Master, carest thou not that we perish?" Jesus then calms the sea and turns back to the men in the boat and asks, "Why are ye so fearful? How is it ye have no faith?" We always need to remember that no matter insane and seemingly impossible life's sea may seem, faith in Jesus Christ is the anchor of our souls and we have no need to fear. He will deliver us. He always has. He always will.

- Mosiah 27:26
- 2 Nephi 27:23
- Mark 4:36-40
- 2 Nephi 26:24
- John 15:13
- John 3:16
I love you all and have a great week!

Hello everyone! I just first want to say thank you for all of your emails this past week. As some of you know, I've been struggling pretty hard on my mission so far, but the amount of love that you all have shown me is amazing. I truly am grateful for you all and for your support. I truly can't thank you enough for all you have done for me individually.
Anyways, I hope you all wished your mom's a happy mother's day. They most definitely deserve it. I know mine sure does. Happy Mother's Day Mama. :) This past week was okay. We had our final District Meeting because this next week we have Zone Conference. A couple of the Elder's and I just talked about Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and well just some fun stuff in general afterwards so that was good.
Nobody new to tell you all about. Sorry that these emails all usually sound the same, but when people keep turning down salvation and stuff, it can be sometimes hard to think of what to write. We did go back to contact that referral in Mäntsälä though! Well I mean sounds interesting but train rides are well...boring to say the least, haha.
Of course Sunday was really awesome. I've been thinking a lot recently about the Grace of Jesus Christ. No matter what you are faced with, what adversity or sorrow that besets your path, you can overcome it with the help of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He paid the penalty for our sins, yes, but He also suffered all manner of pains and afflictions such that He can know how to, "succor His people." I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I can feel His love for each one of us. Each person has their own specific hardships, but Christ has felt them all, and as such, He knows perfectly what you are going through. One friend gave me a letter before I left on my mission, and it had a quote by C.S. Lewis on it. He once said, "He died not for men, but for man. If each had been the only man made, He would have done no less." Our Savior loves us so much, now it is our job to remember that.

I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week.

This past week was well interesting. We had this Finnish holiday known as Vappu. As such, Elder Baker and I had to stay indoors for Saturday night and all of Sunday. Yup, no contacting, no tracting, nothing! Vappu is a bit of a scary holiday for missionaries. If it was a little warmer, well let's just say, it was good that we weren't outside, haha. So we just had to stay in and we watched a lot of Mormon Messages and stuff so, eh it was fun at least. Plus on Saturday we went up to a town called Mäntsälä. We got super super wet. It rained A LOT this past week. It was great!
Other than that not too many crazy stories to share with everyone. We did normal missionary things. Except we did have Zone Meeting which went pretty well. I got to talk to Elder Nissen and Vanhin Gigena a lot so that was great. I learned a lot about how to become a better missionary. I'm super grateful Heavenly Father is patient with me!
Studies went well this past week. I found a really good quote from a scripture that I would like to share with all of you. It is from 2 Nephi 7:7. It says "For the Lord God will help me." Heavenly Father is always there ready to help. But we need to ask for His help and then we need to accept it. If we follow what He asks us to do, we will be able to have His help in our lives.
